"Kill the Boer" is a lot less fun for genocidal maniacs to sing and do when the Boer in question, a historically deadly warrior, is armed and able to defend himself.
People learn quickly not to bring machetes and clubs to gunfights.
And, by way of personal opinion...
The number one lesson we can take from the 20th century is this-
If anyone, ever, comes to take away your means to defend and resist, kill him.
Kill him.
Kill the Boer? Nah. Kill the feral genocidal mobs, and the people who enable and turn a blind eye to the genocide they're committing.
What I Have Learned From the Twentieth Century

As an amateur historian of this sad century whose time is almost up, I would like to reflect upon six lessons I have learned in my studies. Folks who wish to live free and prosperous in the next century would do well to understand the failures of the past.
LESSON NO. 1: If a bureaucrat, or a soldier sent by a bureaucrat, comes to knock down your door and take you someplace you do not want to go because of who you are or what you think -- kill him. If you can, kill the politician who sent him. You will likely die anyway, and you will be saving someone else the same fate. For it is a universal truth that the intended victims always far outnumber the tyrant's executioners. Any nation which practices this lesson will quickly run out of executioners and tyrants, or they will run out of it.
LESSON NO. 2: If a bureaucrat, or a soldier sent by a bureaucrat, comes to knock down your door and confiscate your firearms -- kill him. The disarmament of law-abiding citizens is the required precursor to genocide.
LESSON NO. 3: If a bureaucrat tells you that he must know if you have a firearm so he can put your name on a list for the common good, or wants to issue you an identity card so that you be more easily identified -- tell him to go to hell. Registration of people and firearms is the required precursor to the tyranny which permits genocide. Bureaucrats cannot send soldiers to doors that are not on their list.

Resist.
Where I work we have a fair sized IT staff with "externals" and I got lucky and had a Boer as a project manager about 10 years ago. Funny guy, sort of short, late 50-ish in age, wore round glasses, real Duchy accent. He went back to his family's ranch in the NW edge of SA about 6 years ago. When he left I asked him about the social troubles and the rising rate of attacks. He told me "Long ago, when we were even fewer, things like this were even worse. And let me tell you, they don't call it the Blood River for nothing".
ReplyDeleteI expect they'll get a bellyfull soon and you can imagine the Headlines that will come of it. I just hope we get a bellyfull of our troubles and do something about them, too.
I agree with the article in general, however, I'd like to point out a myth: true gun control occurred in Germany not under the National Socialist government, but when in 1945 the American and Soviet troops went in and disarmed the populace to prevent the conquered Germans from resisting further. German citizens had machine guns and panzerfaust anti-tank rockets handed out to them to fight the invading Communists in the streets, by their government.
ReplyDeleteHave you read http://www.archive.org/details/GunControlInNationalSocialistGermany1928-1945
ReplyDeleteRead a list of the people who are behind gun control in America: Celler, Metzenbaum, Schumer, Feinstein, Boxer (Levy), Kohl, Lautenberg, Specter, guess what they all have in common? Hint: They are not Irish.

ReplyDeleteI am familiar with that document.
This is a subject I enjoy talking about, but one that makes most folks uncomfortable when I do.
I have posted repeatedly on this blog about the lies and slanted version of history put out about Germany after WW2.
I completely disagree with the constant demonization of Hitler, the whole-hearted acceptance of inter-and post-war Allied propaganda, and the use of Germany as an international whipping boy.
I believe it is funny that Americans laugh at the Japanese propaganda about Marines eating their parents, but accept blindly everything that they are told about Germany.
In the "Germany/Nazi gun control debate", there are two -and only two that I've found- sources of information on the issue.
One source is JPFO, hardly an unbiased and emotionally detached source.
The other is Dr. Pierce's paper, the author of which is rejected out-of-hand by most Americans.
I tend to not swallow the popular line about Hitler and the Nazis. I know they trained boys to shoot at an early age, and that they armed citizens against the advancing Soviet rapacious feral hordes.
I quoted the article though, to prove a point about gun control, even though I do not agree with every detail of its assumptions.
The basic one is clear. If anyone comes to take your guns, kill him.
Even if everything ever said about Hitler is true (which it undoubtedly is not), he still cannot hold a candle to Stalin. Stalin...you know, the beast who killed at least ten times more of his own people than Hitler ever dreamed of.
Stalin...and the Soviet Union.
America ensured Stalin's and the USSR's survival.
Congrats.
Seems thers is more talk about this (blog wise) lately but my question has always been: how is it that an educated religious population could have allowed and evil (as in Germany) to exist (or come into being)?
ReplyDeleteAs a 'little person' with no piticular standing in our country, I do believe that if I take a stand as an individual (even though the media machine will report me as a twisted individual), maybe/just maybe the powers who sent the 'messengers' will think twice before they send the messenger for the next person.
I can not believe what has and continues to happen in our coutry; do not come for me without backup - tired of our liberty being erroded.
