A good friend of mine was recently charged for the heinous crime of trying to barter game meat for firewood.
Game meat that was given to him.
The charges were finally dropped, thankfully.
Alaska isn't the "haven of freedom" it is sometimes purported to be.
A little birdy told me that there was a little more than a bit of deception on the part of the LEOs in this case. Officer "Pee-Pee" was reportedly on the case. This piece of work who scours Craigslist for old men trying to get rid of 20 year old game mounts. Scum. Find something better to do.
Oh, and read the comments for a sampling of Fairbanks' finest minds. Someone with a "good job" shouldn't barter? The comment sections of most Fairbanks News Miner articles remind me of some of the reasons I don't miss Alaska.
Oh and Chad, you're welcome to all the wood I left up there. Should be 3-4 cords in 6-8' lengths.
Does your friend have any idea who ratted on him?

ReplyDeleteYes I know different states, all to often they go after the little guy for the easy win.
Most of the time it's about convictions; not justice.
As you all understand most assuredly, this blog and others like it, is being monitored by the traitorous scum of DHS and NSA.

AZ is very high in kidnappings, speaking of cartel actions.

ReplyDeleteIsn't that the sad truth. It's been a real disappointment to me in that respect.
