Sacrilege

2nd Corinthians 10:3-5 -
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds,
casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

Bear with me for a minute, while I twist and distort scripture in a bit of self-indulgent sacrilege.  Or...while I present to you scripture as it is currently practiced by many influential Christian leaders.

3For because we walk in the flesh, we do prefer to war according to the flesh, the only war we truly believe we will see anything done.
For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds... Well, just hold on a second, wait.  Carnal weapons are pretty cool...Tomahawks and JDAMs are pretty good at pulling down strongholds.  You know, this spiritual warfare thing sounds great and all, but come on.  Spiritual warfare is boring, and doesn't look so cool on CNN.  We don't really feel like we're getting anything done by "trusting God".  That's advice we give to broken families and destitute single mothers, along with a smile and a tract... but we're talking about Israel here!  It's time to kick some ass!  Spend some money!

casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of Christ what is best for us according to our Israel's political leaders, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of popular opinion.

Now, ask yourself, "Who is the heretic?"

Is it me, a loudmouthed blogger doing what I can to speak against a war, or is it those who would put the sacrilege I propose through the twisting of scripture into practice?  Is it me, twisting scripture to make a point, or is it those who would use this way in practice as a pretext for war

Christians, if you want to support Israel, I have no struggle with you.  It is many of your means in this case that I despise.  You want to support Israel, for real?  Do you have faith?  Then quit putting it in horses and chariots.

This is a carnal fight, or it is a spiritual one.  I do not believe that this one is both.  Scratch that.  I do believe it is potentially both, but my opinion of which side is being controlled by evil impulses might...differ... somewhat from many popular Christian ministers and politicians.

Get on your knees and fight like a man, Christian.

Or go join the IDF yourself.

It is things like this that motivated my withdrawal years ago from the Church.  While my family and I are "coming back" gradually and cautiously, what we are beginning to embrace is a way and spirituality that is fully and almost completely at odds with the diseased, idolatrous and adulterous corpse bride that haunts America today.  This sickening crone calls looks at the words of Christ and sees a call for blood sacrifice.

I want no part of that.

Sacrilege?  Call it what you will.

Resist.

  1. Damn AP, nailing it left and right.

I know the type of Pharisee. Working with homeland security, preaching the Romans 13 lie.

These clowns can't even understand that all of the disciples of Christ where eventually murdered by the state. That Paul's greatest works were written in prison.

Their crimes of perverting Christian teachings are far worse than murder.

  2. Toaster802-

I've taken a lot of flak in mainstream churches for challenging the popular interpretation of Romans 13.

I was told once, by a minister-
"Truth, taken to an extreme, is heresy."

    WHAT DID CHRIST SAY???

    "I am truth."

    Heresy? Sign me up.

...all of the disciples of Christ where eventually murdered by the state. That Paul's greatest works were written in prison.

Simple. Profound. I like how you think.

  3. My tribe isn't involved. While I would very sad to see Israel fall to ruin, it simply isn't my fight. God can do everything better than me. Defending people is one of them.

Hear is a different look at what it meant when it was written.

  5. Seems like you're awakening in the way many have from the lies inherent in "Christo-Paganism".

If you're looking for truth, I suggest you get online and look at greek and hebrew interlinear bibles and get back as close as possible to the original texts in their original languages.

Might also hit this site: www.profoundprophecy.com

The so-called "hebrew roots" or "messianic" movements are the closest thing to what Yeshua (Jesus) practiced that I've found.

I hope you find the truth you seek.

    God bless,
    Sean

Please, by all means, speak your mind. Try to keep the profanity and vulgarity down to the necessary minimum.

Discussion, debate, dissent- these are good things.

I also welcome comments from Anti-Liberty Extremists as well.
