Securing One's Nation

'Obama ready to give Iran strike order'

'Russia will not brook attack on Iran'

.....

Oh yeah, then check this out:

US, Israel in open rift over Iran

Why?
The friction between Israel and US, came to the surface last week by the deep resentment aroused in Israel by Washington's harsh condemnation of the assassination last Wednesday, Jan. 11, of Iran's nuclear scientist Mostafa Ahmadi-Roshan.
So lemme get this straight.  The US strongly condemned the assassination of an Iranian citizen, and it sparked friction?  Israel's mad over that?  Then, Washington cancels the highly-provocative "military exercise" (after spending god knows how much to sent troops and equipment there), and Israel's upset?

This is Israel's fight then, it's almost plain to see now.  I cannot condemn them for whatever actions they take to further their national interest.  It is their business.  Likewise, I feel the same about Iran.  I agree with the Russians, who said:
"We are definitely interested in the non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. But at the same time, we believe that any country has the right to have what it needs to feel comfortable, including Iran."
I can condemn our government from wasting American blood and money to fight another people's fight.

Israel should secure its nation as it sees fit.  So should Iran.

This millenia-old regional squabble has absolutely nothing to do with a deeply divided, bankrupt nation that is struggling to define itself and prevent sliding into the dustbin of failed nations.

That's us, if you didn't recognize it.

I don't know what will happen in the near future over there.  I don't think this latest lover's spat between the US and Israel is anything other than superficial, and showmanship.  The US seems to be placing itself in a position that will allow it to look like a reluctant aggressor, should it come to that.

I mourn for the loss of our young men who may die should we decide to put boots on the ground there.  They will die not as heroes, but as aggressors, killed by people protecting their country (that would be the Iranians, who will likely be crushed in short order, unless a Russo-Sino-Iranian alliance emerges and solidifies).

This is a shame, and the people orchestrating their deaths should be considered as so many tyrants, butchers, and murderers...the conductors of the horrific symphonies of the next iteration of world wars, cold and hot.

Resist.

  1. Right now as far as I am concerned this is just two people glaring at each other in a bar. If one of them grabs a beer bottle by the neck and goes for the other I will start to pay real attention.

  2. The election is looming and defeat by the RINOs' appears to be imminent. A military action that could bring homeland attacks by prepositioned terrorists from who were allowed to enter via mexico can only help the totalitarian pimp. At the beginning of hostilities the muslim fanatics will attack us here, say at a mall killing all occupants and then themselves and the white house pimp will have his excuse to declare martial law, postpone elections and take control.. then it really begins.
I know how it sounds but if it was my call thats how I'd do it.

Please, by all means, speak your mind. Try to keep the profanity and vulgarity down to the necessary minimum.

Discussion, debate, dissent- these are good things.

I also welcome comments from Anti-Liberty Extremists as well.
