It likely was somehow a bit of a surprise to Catholics, who decisively voted for the man, according to Reuters, in 2008.
You can't have it both ways, folks.
Well, isn't that a bummer. It's not like his views on government and its proper role in the life of the citizen were hidden. Supporting a pro-infanticide, all-but-openly-Marxist candidate is o.k., I guess, that is, until he forces his views on you.
More accurately, Obama is mandating the type of insurance coverage they must provide.
Question- Was it ok with the Catholic church when Obama, et. al., mandated to me the details of my healthcare insurance?
I bet Catholics vote differently this year.
I can't say I have a lot of sympathy for a bloc of people who largely voted to elect a Marxist to be the President of the united States, but then again, he is clearly in the wrong here.
If the Catholics choose to stand and fight over this, I will stand with them.
In spite of the fact that the majority of Catholics voted for him.
Here's to hoping they have more gumption than the rest of the nation.

But at the end of the day, it is just another waiver from HHS and this goes bye-bye. We have a Gov't by/for the Special Interest.

I really hate (more than you can know) to say this, but what did the Church expect when it abandoned so many of the old ideas with Vatican II?
ReplyDeleteOpposition to Communism was forgotten, Liberation Theology was permitted to exist, and most of the Bishops decided to wallow in liberalism. Instead of being in the world, they decided to be of the world. They forgot that the world, having hated the Church for nearly 2000 years, was unlikely to stop doing so.
Perhaps now the American Bishops will grow spines, and serve as an example for the rest of us. That is what they wear the mitres for.
Waiver or no waiver the Catholic Church will still be using government to pick my pocket to support their hospitals.
ReplyDeleteI'm one of the 46% of mackeral snappers that didn't vote for Oblamer & usurpers. I also am in a Diocese that had a non-Marxist arch-bishop, Archbishop Chaput. We lost him to Philadelphia recently, but I really believe that Barry has started the 13th Crusade.

Our Lady of Fatima in 1917 warned us about all of this happening. We are still living in the time period she spoke of to the three children.
And the fight against the culture of death will happen. It has to happen. It is their goal. The Church has been playing coward for way too long. Frankly we are getting sick of their play of survival. They could have accepted the blood in WWII and helped throw a wrench in it. As Barnhardt said, and I have once long ago, tax strike backed up with the dispensation of force. We can do that now also, but the Church wants to play passive easterner. They forgot martyrs build the Church.

ReplyDeleteThis makes no sense for him to do.. he had to know it would create uproar and media attention contrary to his needs so we should be looking at what else he and his czars are doing undercover of this distraction we arent paying attention to.. the pick pocket move in action, bump and distract, grab and leave fast..
