Not the brightest light in the fucking stadium, but I'll endorse anyone with the cojones to man up for that kind of advertising!
Body armor works folks, and I say that not only as a guy who's witnessed people survive gunshots because of their body armor.
On 19MAY02, my ODA was ambushed in a creekbed. I took three rounds from an AK in the chicken plate of my armor. After being knocked ass-over-tea-kettle, I was able to continue to bring the fight to the enemy, so we could retake the initiative and survive the remarkably well-executed ambush....just not well-executed-enough...
If you haven't invested in body armor, you're fooling yourself about your survivability.
Some time back, the QUARTERMASTER web site had a sale on used or out of date body armor, which, as a retiree on a pension, was the only thing I could possibly afford to purchase.
The lowest price was $200.00, which I happened to have available at that moment (but not now).
However, QUARTERMASTER refused to sell to me because their policy is to sell body armor ONLY to police officers.
As a result, I'll never do business with them in the future, and I publicized that incident via e-mails and blog posting.
But, the question remains - - - ,
Where can a retired civilian on a limited fixed income purchase concealed ballistic armor?
Thank you.

Damn, that's pretty thin for a concealed vest. I'm impressed that it can stop Tokarev Ball 7.62 x 25mm and Makarov 9 x 18mm rounds. That's pretty damn good.
I just purchased some armor this week (in MultiCam of course). Not even close to being thin but then again it's not meant to be concealed, but it will stop 7.62 APM2...at least that's what they say. They can't keep this in stock longer than a week. I had to jump on it when it became available again.

I think Point Blank used an earlier marketing technique.

John,
ReplyDeleteThe people at Far North Tactical (farnorthtactical.com) are the only folks I know personally who can help you in this.
Get in touch with Aaron if you can. He will help you if anyone can.

ReplyDeleteThank you.
I bookmarked their web site.
I can't afford to purchase it right now, but when I do have enough money, I'll know where to go.
